It's been a busy month for me, but now that's it's after Christmas I can show you all of my hard work! This is a special order for the lucky Michael. It has 14 different sprites of Setzer from Final fantasy 3/6 around his name and is stitched in a 5 by 7 inch area. He then framed it in the 8 by 10 inch frame. This took me about a month, and it's the first project I've finished with no mistakes! Also for my east coast fans I'll be at Magfest again! I even have a super nifty flyer this year. If you see me there, it'll even have a coupon attached! See you next year! Add Comment Holiday Rush! 11/27/2011
A few new updates for the month, mostly holiday orders, and boy am I swamped! Here's the super awesome swap gift I received from $n0wflake! The sprites around the edges are from Okami and she used my Facebook logo for the main piece. I'm hoping to have it framed at my table for Magfest this year, it's the coolest banner I've ever seen! This is part of a commission I'm working on. The two sprites are Beam Kirby from Super Star Ultra and Megaman from Battle Network. This is another commission, this time it's Cinccino from Pokemon! Wow, it's a little dusty in here. Sorry about that, I've been using Facebook so much for updates, but don't worry I haven't forgotten about this! I'll be using more for monthly updates, that way it'll be more regular. I've been stitching mostly commissions, but I'll post everything! This is two sets of mages from Final Fantasy. The first set are keychains, the second are magnets. Here's a Nyan Cat bookmark that was super fun to make. It's on sale in my Etsy store! Here's the latest, my Sprite Stitch Swap gift. I sent it across the border to Canada, and my swap partner really liked it! Meowth that's right! 08/18/2011
Thanks to everyone who stopped by at Otakon! It went really well, and I can't wait for next year. In the meantime I finished a custom order for my Etsy shop and I'm working on another. Pikachu Pile 07/03/2011
Finally, the last piece of art for Otakon is done! I'll be displaying this and five others in the art auction. Here's the latest: it's in a eight by ten frame. Here's the full list of items that will be at the auction: Ranma and Genma from Ranma 1/2-starting price $50 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=284908&l=197af602b5&id=101915483202789 Super Street Fighter 2 Character Select Screen-starting price $100 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=284910&l=cf0d17dbb1&id=101915483202789 Ichigo from Bleach-starting price $50 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=333169&l=36abd70043&id=101915483202789 Pikachu Pile-starting price $50 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=461836&l=04353ff732&id=101915483202789 Tardis Sampler "It's Bigger On The Inside"-starting price $25 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=238242&l=2a72dd8a91&id=101915483202789 Change of Plans 05/25/2011
Sorry for the wait, but (in Professor Farnsworth's voice) good news everyone! I sold one of the pieces I had queued up for Otakon so I'm working on another to replace it. I don't want to clutter up this site with too many work in progress pictures, so make sure to check out my Facebook page for all of the latest updates. I should be done in a few weeks, the outline's already finished. Before I got started on that, I did manage to finish one more Mario enemy. Here's the bud of a piranha plant from SMB 3. Final Fantasy and Mario Enemies 05/08/2011
I've finished White Mage and Fighter, but I don't have the brown or yellow to make the other three. As soon as I can figure out why KG Chart is messing up colors so badly, I'll figure out the thread for those. In the meantime I've started on another Mario set. This time it's his enemies, so far I have Bullet Bill and a spiny done. NES Classics 04/30/2011
Another set done! This time it's Link from the original Legend of Zelda. Also I've started working on the character from the first Final Fantasy. So far I have Red Mage done. I'm trying something a little different with the bigger sprites. Instead of doing them on plastic canvas, they're done on regular fabric. That way everything stays around two inches. They seem to be working out okay, so I've started on Fighter and should have White Mage done next. Tetris and Sonic 04/21/2011
Two more sets done! I'm really happy with the way the Tetris pieces came out, the colors look even better in person. I was super lucky to find a good sprite for Sonic, 16-bit graphics don't translate well to stitches this small. I'll keep stitching the small stuff, hope it turns out as good as these! Mario Items 04/14/2011
So I found out that I'm faster at these then I thought. In light if that, I have the complete set of Mario items that I've stitched up. All of the sprites are from Super Mario Bros. 3, the NES version. The sprites are about 2 by 2 inches (5 by 5 cm). I'm still at work making my next set of sprites so come back next week, and check them out! | About Andrea
