Two more sets done! I'm really happy with the way the Tetris pieces came out, the colors look even better in person. I was super lucky to find a good sprite for Sonic, 16-bit graphics don't translate well to stitches this small. I'll keep stitching the small stuff, hope it turns out as good as these!

So I found out that I'm faster at these then I thought. In light if that, I have the complete set of Mario items that I've stitched up. All of the sprites are from Super Mario Bros. 3, the NES version. The sprites are about 2 by 2 inches (5 by 5 cm).

I'm still at work making my next set of sprites so come back next week, and check them out!

No, that's not a new spin-off of Bleach, it's what my week has been. I finished Ichigo this week, so now I have all of my artwork finished for Otakon this year. I also listed him up on Etsy, just in case.

As for the Cheezeburger Network part of this story, I was lucky enough to be featured on one of their sites. I made the front page of Must Have Cute! They featured my Fire Flower Hair Clip, which is good because that's what I'm working on next. I've already started making some small Mario items, and I'll have them for sale in the shop soon.
Because I'm making smaller items for the time being, I hope to have more regular updates. Remember you can always check out my Facebook for the most up to date pictures and project, but I hope to post sets of five every two weeks. See you soon!

I just finished my first post Magfest project and it turned out beautifully!
Also, thanks to the wonderful help I found at my local Micheal's, I now know how to properly frame cross stitch. Not that what I was doing up to this point was bad, but I was just matting them and not putting them into a frame. I think this looks a little cleaner, but some people like mattes and some don't.
So with my new found knowledge, I re-framed my Street Fighter piece as well as my new Ranma piece. I'll be re-framing the Tardis as well as soon as I get a frame for it.
As an added bonus, I'm now on Twitter! My user name is @StitchPlease and my twitter feed will also automatically update when I post something on my Facebook. So if you wanted to peek behind the scenes, here's your chance!

Thanks for everyone who stopped by to see me at Magfest 9! I'm already starting on stuff for Otakon and for next years Magfest, but here's what I've finished so far. I was working on the Doctor Who sampler all weekend, and it's my first time working with half stitches, but I think the font turned out well. The two Pokemon pins are for my first commission! I hope the person likes them, and to be honest I always liked Raichu a little better then Pikachu. I've already started a new pattern so be sure to check my Facebook page for updates!

My first try on this project wasn't that successful, but the second time is the charm. This is a real working clock, and all of the numbers and outlines are glow in the dark! The characters are (going clockwise) Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles. I don't think I'll do another clock for awhile, this was tough!

Done! Late but done, and just in time for Magfest! I haven't framed it yet, but it'll be 8 by 10 inches. I'm trying to have at least one other thing done before the convention, but I can only hope I can get that done in time!

I know I said that I would have the pattern back up within the week, but I lied. I've been so busy trying to finish the Street Fighter pattern that I didn't have much time to mess with it. What I did do is put all of the characters on one pattern and narrowed down the colors. It is a little darker then the original, but I think it will look fine once it's stitched out. As for Street Fighter I have less then a dozen colors left! I'm getting so close to finishing I can't wait!

I'm working on the Super Street Fighter 2 character select screen now and trying to get that done by the end of November. In the meantime I was looking at some of my older patterns and realized that they looked, to be honest, kind of amateur. I've already updated my Garra pattern, but I'm working on the OHHC patterns now. I should have them done by the end of the week!

I've been on a bit of a roll lately, so here's everything I've done in the past week. I really can't believe how quick I'm going through these, but that just means I need to think of another big pattern to slow me back down. The first one I made as a gift to my boyfriend. He works as a Database Admin. so I wanted something for his office. The original idea came from Futurama, and it translates from programmer speak into "Home Sweet Home".

The next one I finished in a weekend. It's the N7 logo from Mass Effect. I was using up a scrap of fabric I had and needed something small so this was perfect.

The last one I finished is very close to my heart, and yes, it's Portal! I guess I just can't help myself, poor companion cube.
