I've seen this pattern in different versions all over the place, so I wanted to put my own spin on it. It's a little tongue in cheek, but it fits my sense of humor pretty well!

As an added bonus here's what I made for the Sprite Stitch swap I entered. The person who got it was really happy with it, and that was all I wanted! I used eight different colors in the background to have it blend and I think was really worth the effort.

I really love Portal. Really, really love Portal. So I'm kind of surprised at myself that this is the first pattern I've stitched up for it. I found this somewhere on the internet and fell in love with the idea. I always felt bad about the poor companion cube and I think this is a good way to express that. I'm waiting with anticipation for Portal 2, but in the mean-time I suppose that this will do!

So I had the bright idea to try and make a cross stitched clock. It hasn't turned out so well, but I really liked the sprites so I made a pattern for anyone else who might be interested. I'll try to re-think and figure out what went wrong with my clock, but in the mean time I'm working on some other projects that have been on my to-do list forever.

Thanks for everyone who liked my Facebook page! This is my first try at making a bookmark, so I kind of winged it a little. It's about 2 by 6 inches, with frayed edges. I couldn't figure out what to do with the back so I just put some foam-core on it. The next time I try this I'll definitively be more ambitious! My next project is for a swap I'm participating in so I have to keep it a secret until the person gets it. It's a small project so I should be done shortly and be on to a new project soon!

I've started up a Facebook fan page for anyone interested in what happens behind the scenes here at Stitch Please. It won't be as updated as a Twitter would be, but I promise to update it more then my main site. I feel bad that I can be very slow on finishing a project and I won't have anything to update on for weeks. This way you can find out what I'm working on and see what else might be going on. If you do want to like me, just use the box below. Hope to see you there!

Just some new stuff for the store. The first generation already sold, and I'm still working on the current generation. I've already gotten some new ideas for some new projects so I still have no idea what to do next!

Just finished this commission for a friend. The sprites are taken from the Card Gallery, and it's about 5 inches by 7 inches. It's also my first time working on 18 count fabric. I'm not really sure if I like all the colors that KG Chart picked so I may be re-stitching some of it. I'm getting back into stitching the small stuff for my store, but no need to fear I will be doing some bigger stuff too.  I'm just trying to decide between a few Scott Pilgrim patterns or an awesome Howl's Moving Castle pattern I found. I guess I'll figure it out when I finish the set of magnets I'm working on, or just get sidetracked on another cool pattern. Hey it happens!

Otakon went great this year! I sold everything I put in except for Snake, which may be going to another convention later this year. The best news to come out of Otakon is that I made enough money to open my very own Etsy store! It's definitely a work in progress but I wanted to get it started. I listed a bunch of magnets and will be adding more stuff through the month. Check it out, and I hope you like it!

Just a quick one to finish up my portfolio for Otakon this year. This is the logo for Studio Ghibli. If you think it looks like the same character as last post you'd be right! Totoro is the main logo for the studio. Think of him as the Mickey Mouse of Japan, which is funny because Disney owns the American distributing rights to Ghibli's movies. The cross stitch version turned out better then I expected, compared to the original.

Just finished this and I'm already onto the next! I should be able to get the next one done quickly, and then I can start on some more big ones. I really like how this came out, and I love the look on his face. The character is from My Neighbor Totoro, one of the best animes ever. I got the pattern from a French blog, she also has the Totoro logo and a few Ponyo patterns as well.
